Bill de Blasio appoints new Queens Public Library trustee

Mayor de Blasio on Friday appointed a new trustee to the Queens Public library, replacing one of the eight board members booted for ties to embattled director Thomas Galante.

The mayor named Jukay Hsu, a social entrepreneur and Queens native. His appointment comes after de Blasio and Queens Borough President Melinda Katz removed eight trustees who refused to censure Galante.
